1. Who we are

Focus Guardian is operated by Sarvadhi Digital, based in India. For privacy questions email [email protected].

2. What data we collect

2.1 Account data (Pro / Ultimate)

• Email address — to send your receipts, plan confirmations, and important account notices.
• Payment metadata — payment ID, plan, billing cycle, renewal date. We do not store your card number, UPI ID, or banking details. All payment processing is handled by our payment provider (Razorpay).

2.2 Your focus data

Your blocked-site list, chosen guardians, escalation settings, element-hiding rules, XP, levels, and focus streaks are stored locally on your device in chrome.storage.local. On the Free plan this data never leaves your browser.

2.3 Cloud Sync (Pro / Ultimate — optional)

If you enable Cloud Sync, your settings and progress are stored on our servers and linked to your account so they follow you across browsers. You can turn sync off at any time and request deletion of the synced copy.

2.4 AI features (Ultimate only — processed, not stored)

If you use AI motivational messages, the AI guardian generator, or smart focus coaching, the extension sends the relevant context — such as your current mission text or recent focus activity — to our backend, which forwards it to our AI provider for processing. The submitted content is immediately discarded after the response is generated.

2.5 Usage data (anonymous, aggregate)

• Anonymous feature-usage counts — for product improvement.
• Anonymous error logs.

We do not log which specific sites you block or visit.

3. What we never collect

• Your browsing history. Focus Guardian only checks the sites you have chosen to monitor, on your device.
• The content of the pages you visit.
• Personally identifiable data beyond your email address (Pro / Ultimate only).
• Card numbers, CVVs, UPI PINs, or banking passwords.

4. How we use your data

• Deliver the service you signed up for.
• Send transactional emails (receipts, renewal and expiry notices).
• Enforce plan limits.
• Detect and prevent abuse / fraud.
• Improve the product based on aggregate, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not use your data to train AI models or for any third-party advertising.

5. Who we share data with

• Payment provider (Razorpay) — to process payments.
• AI provider — for Ultimate AI features (mission context sent without your account info).
• Cloud hosting — to run our servers and, if you enable Cloud Sync, store your synced settings.

We never sell, rent, or share your data with marketers, data brokers, or competitors.

6. Data retention

• Focus data on your device — kept until you clear it or uninstall the extension.
• Email + account — kept while active and 12 months after cancellation.
• Payment records — kept as required by applicable tax law.
• AI content — never stored.
• Synced settings — kept while Cloud Sync is on; deleted when you disable it or request erasure.
• Usage logs — kept 90 days, then aggregated and anonymised.

7. Your rights

You can access, correct, delete, or export your data. Email [email protected] with "Data request" — we respond within 30 days. To erase your local data immediately, clear Focus Guardian's storage from the extension settings or uninstall the extension.

8. Cookies & tracking

The extension uses chrome.storage.local only — no cookies, no third-party trackers. The website uses minimal session cookies for checkout and account login. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any advertising trackers.

9. Children

Focus Guardian is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
